The wife and I went to Best Buy for a computer and a sound bar. Sal helped us save over $100 on the computer that we wanted, and did so with a smile! There was even an HP representative at the store for additional assistance. Then, after deciding on a sound bar, another employee (wish I would have gotten his name) gave us the option to buy an 'open box' unit which saved us another $150. The customer service was excellent and we'll be back.
Very good store, great selection and the staff are knowledgeable. It is so nice to see that the people work in the audio department know more than I do on the audio equipment topic (this is typically not the case in the electronics department). Highly recommend.
Sadly, I can't return it to them ... and go repurchase it somewhere else ... because it will show up as a credit on the statement of the person who gave it to me.
Visited best buy on thanksgiving for the black Friday deals. Place was super busy but staff were still very attentive and polite. Everything was well organised and they even had a guy with a gold balloon to indicate the end of the checkout line
Pseudo-knowledgeable staff, AND like ALL the brick and mortar places, the prices are too high. Perhaps my expectations are too high, but when it takes 10 minutes to find a product tag or information (and I find the missing one before you do) it's just over for me. I recommend going in for the touch and feel experience of you new hardware, but shop prices online and save 15%, free shipping is normal, and service plans are MUCH cheaper at Amazon (or even WalMart) to protect your hardware or appliances.
I have been hoping that Best Buy was becoming more customer-friendly. I guess not.
I received a gift that was purchased at Best Buy, and they want to charge me ($39) to show me how to use it. WHO gets away with something this ridiculous?!
