It's sad that when people are hurting from the hurricane that employees here decide to do the bare minimum. Asked for 4 slices of pizza and they said they were not taking special orders. How is asking for pizza, that you are literally cooking right behind you, a special order. When I asked them to just give me whatever was ready they brought a pizza that was so oddly shaped and undercooked that the employee could not figure out HOW TO CUT IT INTO SLICES. Then when I tried to check out they tried to charge me for a full sub because they put the wrong sticker on my box. After several failed attempts to change to the right price a manager had to void the charge, and then the cashier scanned the same wrong tag and it came up as a sub....again. Which they had to void... again. All the while a huge line forms behind me as we wait. I understand the store is strained but these are very basic functions that are done DAILY in a store like this. I hope the store takes a good hard look at its employees seemingly indifferent attitudes to its customers.
I heard many good reports of Publix wedding cakes so I called and spoke to Donna in the bakery department for details. She was utterly professional, extremely helpful and just a breath of fresh air amid other vendors. We met today for a cake tasting and meeting in person only solidified my initial impression of her and your bakery department. We will happily be placing an order for the cake. Thank you Donna for your time and patience for helping to make the bride to be's dream come true. You are the epitome of customer service!!
I frequent this store because of its convenient location and great prices for hot lunches. In the past, the quality of the food was really good. However, I have experienced a decrease in the quality of the food over the past several months. The food has not been hot or even warm on many of my most recent visits and tastes like it has been possibly reheated for several days in a row before I had the opportunity to purchase it. I also have had other items I purchase at the same time ruined as the hot food containers tipped when bagged almost every time with some of the contents leaked into the bag and every cashier and bagger insists on placing all items in the same bag as my lunch, no matter what I purchase. I guess people in general don't really put any thought into the fact that chocolate wrapped in paper will melt when placed into a bag with hot items and will also absorb any spilled liquid in the bag leaving it tasting nasty. At any rate, I would suggest finding an alternative for an affordable lunch at this rate.
Employees are very helpful. Great selection all around. Live the hot food bar.
It sort of reminded me of Whole Foods. But, with Publix products. Overall enjoyed the experience however it was not Whole Foods. I did enjoy the upstairs restaurant style open area that had free WiFi! The food buffet was barely adequate and again not even close to what's offered at Whole Foods.
