GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! Con artists!! I have a 'Kay Jewelers Lifetime Battery' in a watch my husband bought for me. When battery goes dead, you take it to any Kay Jewelers and they replace battery. Inside of watch is marked so they know it was purchased at Kay. So these guys gave me a hard time but said they would replace it anyway. They DID NOT, and sent me out thinking they put new one in. Watch went dead within half hour!! WE VOLUNTEER WITH PBSO AND WENT ON DUTY THAT AFTERNOON, WATCH IS PART OF OSHA REGULATION UNIFORM !! THEY SHOULD HAVE DECLINED TO DO IT RATHER THAN LIE!!
There is something extra shady going on here with the repair shop that is connected to this Kay. I would recommend not having your jewelry serviced by Kay in this area.
Would give 0 stars if I could. Sent my wife's engagement ring in for standard servicing (tightening of diamond settings and rhodium dip) and it was stolen in transit. This particular Kay didn't put forth much effort in trying to find out what happened or where it was. After almost a month, they offered to create a replacement which instead of taking two weeks it took almost 4 as the replacement ring didn't come in on the promised date.
I would say you can buy from them, but don't ever get anything serviced in this area.
Purchased my wedding ring there last year. The ring sat in the box for 11 months and I just started wearing it 2 months ago. It is Scratched beyond belief. The older gentleman who sold it to us stated it Will hold up very well and will continue to look great, however this is not the case. We bought the service plan as we always do from Kay and jared, but apparently he did not add it onto the transaction as they will not service my ring. The sale person stated we would be able to take the ring to any jared or Kay and they would polish and resize it anytime and we would be covered if anything happened to it, but now come to find it was all lies. The only option I have it to buy the service plan which we assumed we did from the beginning and ship my ring away for 2 to 3 weeks. I hope this is not how they normally do business but we were lied to and that sales person really took advantage of us.
Sheila and her staff are just amazing! She really takes pride in helping her customers. I will never go to another Kay Jewelers... This one is the best!
Poorly trained staff, inferior products, go somewhere else.
Also, the District Manager could clearly care less about their customers as they never called me once (despite the delays and staff stupidity - like calling me and saying the ring was there when it wasn't there), and when I asked them to call me over the weekend (when I'm free), they declined and said they would call me on a Monday when they're back in the office (you clearly have a cell phone and 5 minutes). Since we still haven't received my wife's engagement ring, my next call is to their corporate office to report this behavior.
